About Amoji Development Union
Who We Are
Amoji Development Union is the heartbeat of progress for the Amoji community, a vibrant town located in the town of Amoji in Onicha-Ukwuani in of Ndokwa-West local Government Area of Delta State. Founded by visionary indigenes in diaspora and also those resident in Amoji, dedicated to collective advancement, we serve as the bridge connecting all sons and daughters of Amoji—whether they reside at home or in the diaspora.
We are more than an organization; we are a movement mobilizing human, financial, and technical resources to deliver humanitarian aid and site-based development projects. By fostering deep collaboration with traditional leaders, youth associations, and community groups, we ensure that every initiative we undertake is rooted in local ownership and meets the real needs of our people.
Amoji Development Union has long been a pillar of community progress in Amoji — a vibrant town in the Onicha-Ukwuani ward of Ndokwa-West, Delta State. Founded by local residents who share a vision of unity and collective advancement, the union mobilizes human, financial and technical resources to deliver humanitarian aid and site-based development projects that meet local priorities.
Over the years the union has carried out a range of initiatives — from rehabilitating community schools and supporting orphan and vulnerable children, to organizing healthcare outreaches and building small infrastructure that eases daily life. Each project is rooted in close consultation with traditional leaders, community groups and youth associations to ensure relevance and local ownership.
Our approach is guided by three principles: participation, transparency and sustainability. Projects are designed with community input, implemented using local labour wherever possible, and monitored to ensure long-term impact. We welcome partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, diaspora organisations and private donors that share our commitment to equitable, accountable development.
Looking ahead, Amoji Development Union is scaling up efforts in water and sanitation, education support and economic empowerment for youth and women.
